BYU Football

Saturday BYU played their first football game and was it an exciting one. BYU won 14-13 in the fourth Quarter. Jake Heap through for 225 yrds in the game. Here's the recap:


OXFORD, Miss. -- Linebacker Kyle Van Noy recovered a fumble in the end zone for the go-ahead touchdown as BYU came back to beat Mississippi 14-13 Saturday in the season opener for both teams.

BYU trailed 13-0 early in the fourth quarter, but Jake Heaps hit Ross Apo for a 19-yard touchdown with 9:52 remaining to pull within 13-7. Less than five minutes later, BYU's defensive pressure forced Ole Miss quarterback Zack Stoudt to fumble, and Van Noy jumped on the football to cap a stunning comeback.

Ole Miss led 3-0 at halftime and stretched it to 10-0 with 8:34 left in the third quarter on a 96-yard interception return for a touchdown by Charles Sawyer.

BYU won its first game as an independent after leaving the Mountain West Conference last year. Heaps completed 24 of 38 passes for 225 yards, one touchdown and one interception. The Cougars outgained the Rebels 318-208.

Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt had said that he hoped Saturday's game would be played in stifling heat and humidity since BYU comes from a more arid climate. But with Tropical Storm Lee looming, the weather was relatively pleasant, with highs in the 80s and overcast skies.

The first half was full of punts, defense and missed opportunities. BYU gained just 102 yards while Ole Miss managed just 93. Bryson Rose kicked a 20-yard field goal with 49 seconds left in the first half to give the Rebels a 3-0 halftime lead.

Ole Miss sophomore Barry Brunetti started at quarterback, but the Rebels couldn't do much with him under center. Part of that was because of an extremely conservative approach. Brunetti completed 2 of 3 passes for four yards before being pulled for Stoudt late in the second quarter.

Stoudt's presence immediately energized the Rebels. The 6-foot-4, 217-pound junior completed two passes for a combined 21 yards on his first drive, which ended in Rose's field goal just before the half. Stoudt finished 13 of 25 passing for 140 yards, but the crucial fumble is what most will remember.

But the Rebels really didn't get going until Sawyer's interception, which stretched the lead to 10-0 and was the program's longest interception return for a touchdown since 2007. Another Rose field goal stretched the Rebels' lead to 13-0 early in the fourth quarter and the program looked well on its way to a much-needed quality win after a dismal 4-8 season in 2010.

BYU had other ideas.

The Cougars kept pounding away, with a 69-57 advantage in offensive plays. By the fourth quarter, the Rebels' defense looked gassed, and didn't have an answer for the BYU offense. JJ Di Luigi rushed for 56 yards and also caught four passes for 32 yards.

But the biggest play was Stoudt's fumble. Three BYU defenders converged on Stoudt, slamming him to the turf as the ball popped loose. Van Noy took advantage of the opportunity, pouncing on the bouncing ball to lead the Cougars to the victory.

Friday

It is Friday and i am loving it. I did a game of soccer and I totally loved the game. One of my favorite teacher was on my team. Her name is Ms. Wilson. She is a very good soccer player. On the other team one of my other favorite teachers, Mr. Seicest, and he is a superb soccer player. That is Friday.

Across the gameing world

I am writing a book called Across to the Gaming World. I think it will be a very good book because it has a lot football games in it. I hope my mom and dad will like it. maybe I can get it published when I'm older. So that's it.

Hiking Trip and other stuff

My brothers, Josie and dad are going on a hiking trip today up a mountain. I'm happy for them because it would be awesome to hike up a mountain. But I can't. I am going be staying home tonight with my mom and Katie. I hope my mom can handle Katie and me. This is a little off subject, but I can't wait until the football season to start, and I hope Jake Heaps is up to this season. Our first game is at Ole Miss and I think that is going to be a hard game. Our second game is Texas. My favorite basketball player Jimmer Fredette.

He is a NBA player now.

Hey mom I finally got in to my blog. I have to tell you something. I know you wont approve but I never wanted to do a blog in the first place. sorry. It is almost school time I am very happy about it. My brothers are in 7th grade this year. They are so happy too.

Super Trip

This summer I am going on a very long trip. I forgot some of the stuff that we are going but I do remember that we are going to Yellowstone and Lagoon. I think it will be fun.

Cameron and Mackays Birthday

On the 18th my brothers had their birthday. They had a very fun time that their birthday. First I am going to tell about Mackay's presents, first he got a mp3 player. Next he got New Super Mario Bro's Wii (it is a game). Finally he got a spy thing. Cameron's presents. He also go a mp3 player, he got a lot of books. Finally the 3 boys got the last Fablehaven book.

Buddy Ball

I wrote this in Summer school......
Buddy ball at the zoo

I went to the zoo to play buddy ball. I was up, I hit the ball and the baseball went soaring over our heads, I ran around two of the bases. Then I stopped on second base. Then Mackay was up and he hit a homer, I ran the last two bases and I almost ran headlong into the stands. I slid and stopped right in front of them. Then Dad was up and he hit the ball it went sailing over our heads and it hit an elephant right between its eyes. My dad was about to go over to see if he was OK, but the ball was under the elephant’s bum, it stood up and it almost killed dad. I was laughing very hard, my mom was up and she hit the ball, it went flying over our heads, it landed in the lion’s cage. The lion ate the ball and the ball exploded in the lion. Josie was up, she hit the ball very hard but I caught the ball in my glove and Josie was out. I was up and I smacked the ball very hard. It landed in the middle of the tiger’s cage. We played buddy ball all night and my team won. It was a good game.

Football

One day I was getting my football uniform on when my dad came in and said, “Are you ready for the big day?” Then I answered after I put my shirt over my head, “Dad I am so ready.” 3 minutes later we ate dinner. After dinner I went out to the field and waited until my teammates came. They came 30 minutes after I did, then one of my teammates named Robbie came up to me and said, “How are you Bob?” “Fine,” I said. By the way Bob is just my nickname, my real name is Jefferson. 5 minutes later I went into the locker rooms and listened to the coach say his little prep talk, it was really long. He said, “Tonight is a good night, we will win the football game!” But I will not tell you the rest of the prep talk. 3 minutes later the football game started and I am the Q.B. I am number 15. My team is the BYU Blue Hawks. I told my team on the field, “I will throw the ball to Robbie and he will run the ball in for the touchdown.” 3 minutes past in the game and we were ahead 21-7. One reason was the team that we played kept throwing the ball to my team and we kept catching it.30 minutes later the game was almost over and we were way ahead. The score was 49-14. We were beating the soul out of the other team. I don’t think this game will end well. I thought. 3 minutes later the game ended and the score was17-56.After the game I went to a ice cream shop and I got a really big ice cream cup.The next day I had another football game and I played the Virginia Jets. It was a really bad talk that my coach said. The game started. My team kicked off to the Jets and they ran almost half up the field. But they fumbled the ball and we got it. I ran on to the field and I told my team that I would run the ball and I would get a first down. I hiked the ball and ran the ball. I got the first down.30 minutes later in the game and the score was 50-38 and finally the game ended I was getting ready for another football game the next week.The next day the football game started and the team that we played kicked off to us. We ran the ball all the way to the 50 yard line. I walked onto the field and said, “I will run the ball. I will maybe get the first down.” I hiked the ball and ran all the way to the 10 yard line. We had a little talk. I hiked the ball and ran it in to the touchdown. The score was 7-0. We were ahead. 2 minutes later we kicked off to the other team. They ran to the 20 yard line and they had a little talk. The game played out and we were ahead the remainder of the game and we won 42-40 it was a very close game. We got ice cream afterward.

Subslutute

The last 2 days I have had a sub helping me instead of Mr. McCue. The sub's name is Mr. Bacman. He is nice but he can get a little anoying sometimes. I like him, so I might like him. Today I thought he was going to be a little nicer but he is just fine.

BYU Football

I am playing a mode on NCAA Football that you can play a full season. Here it goes. I picked BYU as my team and I started at #20. I won the first game 52-32 then I got beat by Washington 14-12, then I dropped down to #26. After that I won the next 10 games which bumped me up to #16. Then I went to the Las Vegas Bowl and I won it 42-16. Then I played a new season and I am on game 4 and I am #10 now. I hope I can be undefeated this season because then I can go to the National Championship. That would be very fun and awesome. BYU is my favorite in the world of football.

Scouts

I am apart of a scout group. It is very cool because I am president of my group. I have 3 other people in the group. Their names are, Niel, Ben, and Morgan. I really like the group because I know every on in my group. My brothers are going to in the group in March. Next month I am going to the temple again with my group and it should be fun. I love my scout group. My dad takes me to and from the church ( which is in the church). If anyone is in Moab come to 12-13 year old scouts.

Monday night

1 hour ago we went to this Mexican restaurant. I got a enchilada and it was very good. There were chips and very hot salsa. After dinner we got a free frosty at Wendy's.

Free Rider 2

I was playing Free Rider 2 at school today. In that game you can pick different cars. there is a blob. That is my favorite car. I beat a very easy level. I love that game. So if you want to play you can go to free rider.com.

What I got for my my birthday was..

We had a Christmas party after and it was fun. We had a dinner, and a program after the yummy dinner. Back to my birthday. I wanted to play the Wii game but it was to late.

Friday Activitys

Today I had a activity which I have every Friday, but today was especially fun because we watched "Dispiciple Me" in my History classroom. I already seen it, it felt, like 1000 times at home. But I, regret saying this, liked it. That morning in CTE, which stands for Computer Technology Education, we cut up vegetables and fruit. IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!

NCAA Football

I got a game for my birthday which was....




I played my dad and he scored first than he scored again. Then I got a safety that gave him 2 points. Then he tried to get a first down with a fake punt which did not work. After that I passed the ball and got a TD. Then he tried for a 108 yard field goal which missed completely. Then I got another TD. so the score was 15-14. Then I got another TD. The final score was 31-15. I missed the last TD because I was getting bored.

Christmas

This year for Christmas I got a lot stuff including....

It is a very good series and I am on book 2 in the series. So um, that is about all, WAIT! That's not all I got. I also got some Wii games. My brothers got a lot of Lego sets. That's all folks....
